How did he fix them? Salt and pepper and grill?

Lightly dusted with Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning then grilled on gas.

Another great tip.

I went and bought some Cavenders.

Dusted it on some steaks......very good indeed.

No other option here. Can't do Dairy Queen but once every few months or year. NO DISHES! Selling point for me 👍

I saw one in the store the other day....tri tip.

Couldn't get over the price so I left it.

Wasn't that hard to do......we just got a beef....have another ready to kill on the 11th and another on deck.

If you got a Beef you probably got tritip(s), as stew meat.

The six in my freezer were 2.49lb Choice untrimmed.

Been reading about tri tip for years and realize it's a popular Santa Maria style of cooking indigenous to an area of California .

What cut of meat is tri tip called for those of us outside the area ?

Local Safeway here has some really good sales on Choice Beef sometimes. I suspect its because there is a significant percentage of people on the dole around here, try to get them in the doors for those dollars.

Tri-tip is ubiquitous now. Its my understanding that a large quantity of the cut are shipped to the Western US instead of being used for other cuts or groundup because of the demand.I believe some of the tri-tip cut is used as "Steak Tips" cut on the East Coast. Triangle roast is also another name.

Did marinated grilled tuna steaks the other night for the first time. Turned out pretty good:

Sorry for the bad pic. Was halfway through the meal before I thought of taking a pic. Tuna steak is filling!

Large sections of the animal butchers turn into named cuts.
