Hi guys.
Considering selling this gun....what's a ballpark value (priced to sell), on a 100% stock, Colt Mark IV Commander, Series 80, blued, 75% condition, no box.
I took a look at Gunbroker, and prices are all over the place.
Thanks.

Market is flooded too damn many 1911’s on the market. Hear the Rock is producing pretty good commanders for 500 new. Any more than that at 75% nah.

I agree, on the one hand I don't see you getting more than $500. The other side of the story is it should move relatively well close to that.

Thanks guys.
I'd of guessed a 1911 with the horsey on it would have been a bit higher.
Maybe I'll do something crazy and go shoot it!

The key to getting more money is not the Colt name on the side, as much as, Condition, Condition, Condition. There are 1911's in all price ranges that can be bought new.

Now that I've just looked at a couple advertised locally the prices seem to be down some. I wouldn't pay that for a series 80 used and worn gun. Pictures would help.

Depends on what your idea of 75% is.

I got a customized 1994 commander for $400 in 1999. At 3% compounded that would be (1.03 )^20 ($400) = $722
Colt revolvers appreciate more than 3%, so that price might be low.
