Man wearing only underwear allegedly bites man’s ear off in Crenshaw County

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you -- or in this case, the ear.
A man -- dressed only in his underwear -- allegedly bit an elderly man’s ear off Wednesday after the victim tried to help him after a wreck in Crenshaw County, according to media reports.
The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office could not immediately be reached to verify the reports.
Johnny Ray Wilson, Jr., of Rutledge, wrecked his vehicle, which became submerged in a creek, authorities told the Alabama News Network. An elderly man went to help out Wilson, who had been flagging down cars at the site of the wreck.
That’s when Wilson allegedly jumped into the elderly victim’s truck, bit his face and bit the victim’s ear off, Montgomery NBC affiliate WSFA reported, citing Crenshaw County Sheriff Terry Mears.
The victim was airlifted to UAB Hospital, according to Alabama News Network.
Wilson is being held in the Crenshaw County Jail without bond.
