It sure was good.......

When I went back for seconds I reached over the pig to get some more of that Goat.......and the Pig was dam good.

You won't believe it but my almost 3yr old grandson would eat all that broccoli off the plate before touching anything else. Nice wholesome meal there.

Last night was a big plateful of steamed 16 count Old Bay / Denny's shrimp. After 10 years in this gawd forsaken culinary wasteland I finally nailed the shrimp connection down and boy o boy they were GOOD !!!

Chicken tenders, coated in Ranch, wrapped in bacon.

Home alone, 3# of clucker, 2# of bacon.
Hoped it would be good, casuse I'm eating it however it tastes.


It didn't suck.
Only ate about 1/3 of it.
Keto diet, since I only ate steak and salad for lunch,

Old German was my side.

3 carbs in 1 beer.
Not bad for the day

Tired so we came to town and had a pizza.

It was pretty good.

50/50 Chile Verde y Chile Colorado, chicken taco on the side for the Grandson.

Local Mexican Restaurant known the family for over 30 years. Madre Superior still supervising in the kitchen.

105 out so no one wanted to fix anything.

Italian chicken skillet we call it. Random veggies cooked down with a tomato based dependent on garden harvest, garlic, chicken thighs, in its own "roux"....

Topped with parmesan/feta whatever I feel like ....

More steamed shrimp tonight. I had not realized how much I missed it.

Only four more pounds left.

When we go to TX , we buy 20-30 pounds fresh gulf..

I have to ration. I can eat 5 pounds at a time....

Despite the culinary snobs' obsession with presentation.....in my eye that's a thing of beauty right there.

Just down home comfort food. As a matter of fact they use some of the same recipes our Grandmothers shared. They don't go for all the fancy fruefrue plating just tasty food for a good price.
