Have a walnut stock(?) for a Winchester 88. Wondering if this is an original replacement stock or aftermarket. Its stamped in the barrel channel-- Win 88 51 or SI 300299. Hopefully someone will post the picture. TY for any input.

The profile does not look quite right for it to have come from Winchester, more likely it is an aftermarket replacement especially since is it uncheckered and unfinished.

That looks like a M88 carbine stock.

Didn't the carbine stocks have a barrel band?

TY Scotty! Also it has two bored holes in the bottom of the stock. Look just like pre 64 model 70 FWT holes.

Didn't the carbine stocks have a barrel band? Yes and the tip was slightly stepped down for it.
