Hi guys. Never had applied for a tag in Wyoming until this year, when buddy and I applied for NR antelope tags. Did the recommended strategy of applying for an "impossible" tag for 1st choice in order to earn a preference point and a "drawable" unit for second choice. Just checked results and saw we indeed drew tags (either sex and doe/fawn reduced) in our second choice unit. Those results did not say anything about preference points though. How do I know/where can I verify that I now have one preference point, due to not drawing first choice unit?
Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure now you have to buy that preference point in July, they do not give it too you in the license drawing. You will have 1 PP for next year of you buy one this July.
Where will you be hunting on that 2nd choice tag ?

Correct. You must purchase preference points after the draw starting this year. In years past you paid the point fee up front and if you did not draw 1st choice you were awarded the point. If you did draw then they issued you a refund for the point fee. Probably less hassle and confusion now to not have to issue refunds.

Glad it worked for you. I applied via the same method and struck out.
