Classic ground beef American tacos with all the fixings.
Even used the preformed Ortega brand corn hard shells.
You get tired of all the authentic type stuff after awhile.
Used an American Test Kitchen recipe for the meat mixture.
1 can Rosarita beans and 1 can Dennisons mixed together for a side.
And my last German Oktoberfest beer I found in the back of the storage cabinet from the Holidays.

Shrimp & pork spring rolls.
James Pepper: There's no law west of Dodge and no God west of the Pecos. Right, Mr. Chisum? John Chisum: Wrong, Mr. Pepper. Because no matter where people go, sooner or later there's the law. And sooner or later they find God's already been there.

Stepdaughter is making hamburger helper stroganoff. Ground venison instead of beef, added mushrooms and onions. It'll be good.

Fried elk hamburger patties, fresh green beans and yellow squash from garden.

I made a Spinach Quiche for breakfast but it turned out to be brunch since it was dam near 9:00 by the time it was done. Shallots, nutmeg, cayenne, and Swiss (Gruyère is non existent in these parts) ......it was delicious. The recipe said to pre-bake the crust which worked pretty well but I need a bigger crust or a smaller pan because it shrunk quite a bit. https://www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/spinach-quiche.html

Tonight was the first run of spare ribs on the drum smoker. Smoked dry over Kingsford blue with a fair amount of sweet Rich's River Dirt on them Half turned out super and the other half just soso. Odd. Maybe next time I'll wrap 'em.
I need a fab tater salad recipe as my old red recipe is getting boring.

Tried that but made a low carb crust from coconut and almond flour. Added a bell pepper too. Not uniform but I’ll make that again.

All the above looks great as usual especially the tater salad.Grilling season is here !!!!!
After much testing tho' I've found the Woodford to be highly overrated.

Ha, ha !
Was a belated birthday gift from Joe, my fishing buddy !
Better than my usual Jim Beam black label !
I don't mind it, for a change, either, when it's free !
