Wow. That was practically an instant verdict. It just went to the jury.
This is just the first award. There is a punitive damages phase coming up that could bring the total to $33million.

Don't bet on the tuition increase. They might be private but that doesn't mean American taxpayers aren't paying for the majority of it. From their financial aid website: "During the 2017-18 academic year, Oberlin College provided over $65 million in financial aid. More than three-quarters of students received a total of approximately $90 million in aid from Oberlin College, federal, state and private sources."
