Well, we got about 2 feet of snow from Sunday morning til around noon today. I've been shoveling, plowing and blowing more damn snow than I care to look at!

I'll be glad when this winter stuff is over with. I'm getting too old for this crap.

7mm,

Must suck. If I ever get my scanner hooked up, I'll post a pic of my yard. I'm thinking about mowing it this weekend to get rid of the weeds that have come up over the winter.

Damn, that's looking mighty fine........ if you're a cross country skier or a kid out of school! Our winter here has been surprisingly warm and distinctly void of snow and most of our usual rain, too. Kind of wish we would get some to keep our water tables up and keep the fire danger down a bit this spring and summer. Last summer was no fun at all with all the major fires and all!

I just mowed my yard last Thursday for the first time this year. Wish it would get cold enough to make it stop growing for awhile so I can get some other things done this spring. - Sheister

Man, would I ever love to see that!!!

We're so dang dry here, I'm dreading what the summer is going to be like. My well is showing nasty signs of going dry and we managed to avoid any big fires near my place last year, but I can't imagine our luck lasting another year.

Man, at least you can shovel, plow and blow. We got 1 inch of freezing rain here Saturday night. Tree limbs are dropping like 'taters out of a burlap bag. Had to repair property line fences most of the day yesterday. Lost power 6 hours yesterday and 8 hours today. We are heating by wood so were still warm and dry. The folks down in the southeast part of the state have floods to be concerned with.

Heck, Wall, we got that ice back in October. It sheared off about half the trees on the mountain. Every thing above 1800 ft elevation got hammered. There were still alot of leaves on the trees, and it just busted them to crap. Knocked out the power for half the area.

I'm pretty well dug out now. As long as the wind don't kick up, we'll be OK. I'm afraid it's liable to put the screws to the turkeys though. You can't hardley scratch through 2 ft of snow. I think the deer will be alright as long as we don't get a heavy crust of Ice on top.

Oh, just for perspective, that black patch on the car is the side mirror! I got a couple more cars to dig out tomorrow, but since they canceled work, that's no biggy. I dug out my sister-in-law's jeep yesterday, she had it parked because it won't make heat. I asked her how good the heat was when she's walking.

No Sir, that is an all American patch of Sunflowers. And nope no prizes for the pictures. My wife however thinks I am an artist, says she never saw anybody can draw flies like I can. I wish we had more snow here too. I live in norhern Idaho about 100 miles from Canada. We haven't had a total of more than an inch all together this winter. The birds are our singing and the turkeys are beginning to strut. We need the water for our rivers and lakes and hydro power. We will also probably have a bad summer for forest fires due to lack of moisture.

No, Cat, there was no ducking this one! Luckily, Dad (my Dad) bought a snowblower at the auction last summer. He payed $75 for it. It payed for itself a couple times over Monday. Bet I coulda set it out and sold it for three times that !

We're in pretty good shape now, as long as we don't get hammered again. I got no place to put it now, but it's more an inconvenience than anything. Gotta watch pulling out at stop signs, cause you can't see over it.

I aint migrating though. I don't have too many twisters or hurricanes here!
