John, are you from the Bayfield area? Spent a lot of time up there...

Erie is 26" above normal.

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

In 1964 and 2000 the world was ending because the lake level was so low.

26,543,561,779,200 gallons. Figuring lake Superior at 20,364,800 acres and 4 feet of water = 81,459,200 acre feet x 325,851 gallons per acre foot.

Yes

I suspect that higher lake levels will cause an increase in lake trout populations. The increase in Lake Trout farts will drive climate change for generations. Just how may generations are left is dependent on the level of Lake Trout farts...

Makes as much sense as anything the turds on the left have come up with.

Saw a report a couple days ago that said 4 of 5 great lakes were 33" above normal.
Do not remember which was fifth and what its stats were.

I've got a place between Algoma, WI and Sturgeon Bay, WI right on Lake Michigan. Water level is very high and I've lost quite a bit of shoreline, thankfully the place is up on a bluff. People close to the water are even closer to the water now, docks underwater or even washed away. There's a granite boulder that's about 4 feet in diameter in the water close to shore in front of my place, interesting to see how the lake moves it around!

Jimy, just directly paste the image link as copied (when you click the post image button), into the Quick reply window on the Campfire. You don’t need to format it with image tags or use the insert image button on the Campfire’s Full Editor menu. The forum hot link is already formatted for you by postimage.

We have had a comfortable rathole on Lake Superior for 19 years. The water level goes up or down every single year, sometimes more than others. This year it is too high, especially when you compare it to when it was too low. So far, we have not been able to figure out where the water level should be, as it keeps fluctuating.

Am sure once the democrats in congress hear about this, they will spring into action with some pertinent regulations to fix it.
