Thinking about having a 300 PRC built. Main purpose would be Elk and Bear.
Edit: I also want the ability to buy factory ammo.

Yes. I know just the guy to build it. Scott Weichel just finished one last week.

That said, the ultimate 30 right now might be Ryan Pierce's 300 Norma Improved.

Scott just finished this for me. Shoots like this! It’s the sixth rifle he has built me and all shoot under .5. Even the 338 edge. Not to mention the dozens he has built for pards that do the same.

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

Not much chance of finding 300 Prick ammo in various rural locales now, let alone in five years when it's likely to have lost the new cartridge luster and dropped in popularity. If factory ammo was a deciding factor and searching for a fire breather, I'd be in 7 Rem or 300 Win mode, if stuck on a 30 caliber.

Factory ammo I’d go 300WIN or 300RUM.

2¢ but the 300 RUM with the new Atips would be a 🍑.
250grain G1 BC .878 G7 .442. That at 2850+ would be awesome.

Not worried about buying in rural area's. Can reload the brass at that point. I am not stuck on anything at this point.

👍THANKS!! I’m loving it. Gonna kill antelope and a whitetail with it this fall. Had it out to 1150 last night. Just keeps impressing me every time I get behind it.

As you know, it's built to handle the long skinnys without any mods, I'd go prc with 225's.... there's one in my future...
