That was no fight, it was a lunch hour quickie! You could see at the end the female pushed the matter too far by asking for a kiss and if the male would call later. By the way he walked away, the male should have engaged in a bit more foreplay. He looked to be rubbed a bit raw...;)
Would say the smaller was female. Notice the way she keeps her rear end on the ground. Big boy ain't getting none of that. Also, as someone else said, it was not a knock down, drag out. Just a little honest bear courting.

No endurance it appears - fighting maybe 30 seconds , I think I could take either one wearing Motocross gear - Barlow in hand .
Saw a story once of a cruise ship many years ago british colombia maybe - long dock out to deeper water - 175lb. black bear eating a dead fish off to the side of the dock at the shoreline . Couple of people dared to walk past it - then it attacked and killed a man in mere seconds , woman tried to scare it off - bear killed her , man tried to help woman - pretty sure he was killed too . A photogragher snapped a couple of pictures of the killing , the bear was in ANIMAL mode every hair standing on end - mean .

Lotta bear flesh right there. Just a routine azz whooping. Standard bear day. I have a friend who watched a big blackie maneuver a rival to the edge of a cliff, then knock him off. He shot the bear a few years later — probably a Booner.
