Ridgecrest, fairly decent size city.

They got rocked pretty good, evacuating the Hospital.

Had to go there once a month for three years during the 90's for my job. Felt many small quakes during that time. That and it get Furnace hot during the summer.

Felt it here in Thousand Oaks, I was on the computer and my desk chair started to roll on it's wheels. Nothing harsh just a slow rolling motion.

What I have learned from past quakes is that having a single story home you rarely see the damage that two story homes see.

Was out in L.A. when the '71 quake hit, 6.5 on the scale they claimed. It was a long event, maybe 30 seconds or so and you could not stay on your feet where I was located, just north of the USC campus.

I drove down HWY 395 threw Ridge Crest about 2 hours after it hit today roads looked like noting happened.

There was a line of Media Vans heading up to Ridge Crest to spin it any way they can
To bad that 2 home burned down poor family's lost everything
