A friend used to do a small food business when he owned a bar. His customers preferred the deep fried food over the air fried.

Boomer,

We use a Tefal air fryer for fries, to go with our copious quantities of Walleye !

We like it.

Chose your favourite frozen FF, bang 'em in, no oil & done in about 20 minutes !

I've done steak fingers, pork chops, and fish in our air fryer. It was very tasty.

Best way to do chicken wings.

Not really a9 fan.
Partly due to ours is too small for the family,
And it's slow.

Food is ok, better if you spritz it with oil before you cook.
But then, you are eating oil.....

That's the stuff guys. Much appreciated! The diet says NO but the fries say YES!

All they are basically is a counter top convection oven. They are good for prepared frozen foods like frys and prebreaded items. Those items are made knowing most people will make them in the oven as opposed to frying. So they come out great when you cook them in a real hot convection oven, or an air fryer. Now if you take some fish fillets and just do your normal at home breading routine results ain't so good. If you get good results in the oven you will get great results from an air fryer. Things you would normally oil fry and not even think about putting in the oven are not good choices for an air fryer.

+1

Limited in application and there is nothing wrong with good oils.

I bought one last year and like it. I do French fries and tater tots, and consider that way as the best way to go. Lately, I've been cooking bacon in mine, so as to get rid of as much grease as possible. Tried some pork chops and they were okay, but I prefer them cooked other ways.

They do take up a lot of room.

More thanks folks.

Limited application and mostly suitable for foods that I am supposed to be avoiding is how I am leaning. I am going to pass for now.

Happy cooking!

Our mostly gets used for things that are breaded and frozen. On the fresh side, it can't be beat for REAL baked potatoes.

I kind of put them in the instant pot category - they do some things really well, and I do cook the obligatory french fries in them, but also steaks and chicken breasts. For me, these turn out great, but they do not have the crust from frying in oil, so they are "healthier". They take up a lot of space on the counter, but I do like them. Mine is somewhat inconvenient to clean, as it has no front door and you are reaching into a well, especially when trying to turn a steak or chicken, but it does work very well. As for the instant pot - I am used to my pressure cooker and slow cooker, and I cannot get the pot to do the same things. I guess that is modern miracles for you.

I guess the best thing is avoiding running the oven on a hot day.

I've been thinking about getting a counter top convection oven.

Let's see, many, many Essential Fatty Acids, even more Essential Amino Acids, and zero essential Carbohydrates.

A potato is virtually 100% carbs, and the the oil is the problem?

Laughing!

Love my airfryer! Mother in-law got it for us for Christmas, and we've about worn it out from the use.

Eggrolls, veggies, pork tenderloin, wings, hot dogs...so many things.

I'd rather have a bad day hunting than a good day working!
