Finally bit the bullet and ordered a new Fieldcraft in 308.
Question, I’m unsure about the bolt degree lift... so if I was adding a 1” Leupold VX3i 3.5-10x40 “ish” scope, will Talley lows work for proper cheek weld? I’d rather use extra low if possible, but lows would work.
Thanks

Thanks, I’ve only fondled a 6.5 CM version in Cabela’s once about 3 months ago, but it was naked.

I don't know if it's close to the same but I have 30 mm Talley lows on a Forbes with a swfa 3-9 x40 with bolt handle clearance.

Thanks Here’s my 6.5 CM FC with Talley Lows and a 3.5-10... bolt has plenty of clearance. I wish Talley made an X-Low for the FC.

I might grab a 6.5 CM if I like the FC enough. I have several Kimber Montana’s, Weatherby ULW’s, Rem 700 Ti’s and a Browning Ti, but wanted to give Barrett a whirl since I’ve heard great things.

Mine is the Lipsey’s special with no.2 / 24” bbl. I wouldn’t want the no.1 / 21” bbl.
The FC is a specialty rifle. The bolt is undersized so all manner of crap and weather end up in the mag well. By no means a deal killer, but not something I’d want on every rifle. This is my second FC, and if Lipsey’s sees fit to offer a 308 with the no.2 bbl. I’ll be an owner.
