The whole series is aimed at adolescent males with lukewarm IQs who imagine themselves as Bond. Bring in a so-so looking woman as the main character and you lose at least half the draw for that crowd. Has failure written all over it. Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

That will be the last one (due to nobody going to see it or rent it), till the franchise is started up again with a proper man (of credible British ancestry) in the role, which they may never choose to do.
