If we could just make these summers a little more tolerable, we have a good two months to go and I am ready for some cooler weather! Was hoping Barry would deliver a bunch of rain and cooler weather ( you know, highs in the high 80s or low 90s) but nothing so far....

Idaho would have topped OK as the reddest but we have a lot of Mormons. A UT Mormon named Evan McMullin ran independent in '16. It was a ridiculous run as he was only on the ballot in 3 or 4 states, a big waste of time and money. He got over 6% of the Idaho vote. Those likely would have been almost all for Trump otherwise. McMullin was actually trying to win enough EC votes to throw the election into the house. That would have been a real boondoggle.

Idaho's redder than Tx. I don't doubt Idaho is a more conservative state. Idaho has a lot better hunting and outdoor opportunities available also. Texas has huge metropolitan areas that Idaho doesn't even begin to compare with. These metro areas are full of dead beats living off the government that vote left wing. Also Texas has and has had for decades considerably more work available. This has brought in a lot of left wing types from all over the USA not counting internationally.

i wouldn't live anywhere else or more than 20 miles from the coast. i love being on the beach taking a nap out in the sun with it being almost a 100 in the afternoon.
