Got word today that my Bear's skull Green Scored 20-1/16. As I suspected he had a lot of fat on his noggin. Still a respectable Montana Black Bear.

Looks like if he dries at 20-1/16 he will be the #26 Bear in Boone and Crocket for Montana, and #2 for Missoula County. Not to Shabby for my first Montana Black Bear.

Super bear! Way to go! I just got back from a month long trip to Montana elk scouting, camping and looking for a home. Did not see a bear while scouting but seen some scat. Will be hunting bear next spring.
