When starting load development using a bullet like the 110gr Accubond, which is not listed in the Nosler guide, is it better to start with loads dealing with the next bullet weight higher (heavier) or lower (lighter)?
I'm going to start with RL-22. Someone posted, not too long ago, a load that put 54gr of 22 behind the 110 Accubond. Does that seem excessive or about right?
It just prepped and primed my first batch of brass last night. This will be the first rounds I have ever handloaded. I have to say that it is kind of intimidating now that I'm getting to the powder charge step in the process.

I was able to run above book with the 117 Sierra. My load topped at 55.5 grains. I shared this with a friend and he went a 1/2 grain at a time and best load also was the 55.5 grain load with 117 Sierra. No pressure signs anywhere. The 54 grain sounds like a perfect place to start and work from there. I have a brand new unfired barreled action to play with and this is my exact plan. I am gonna test N560 as well. I`m thinking you`ll be at 56 grains of RL22 when all is said and done.
Many things to consider such as brass weight, and throating. My loads were with Winchester brass and not military necked down. IMI is heavy too.

use 115 bt loads and work up. In a 24" barrel you should realize 3250-3300 fps with the 110. BTW look in the classifieds. I have 110 AB and 100 Partitions for sale.

Blueprinted Remington "B" prefix matte blued by Spradlins, bolt re-jewelled by same. Krieger 10 twist #5 barrel crowned at 26" with flutes. Since it is unfired, I`m thinking hard about seeing if Karl Feldcamp would be interested in taking on a project to change it to a 25/06 AI.

My pet load for my Rem Classic 25.06 is the 110gr accubond in front of 53.5grs of RL22. When testing i shot 54 and 55grs with no pressure signs but didn't go any higher than that because the 53.5 gave the best and most consistent groups so thats what i went with. When i first started shooting the accubonds i called nosler and the tech told me to use the 115gr partiton load data so thats where i started.

Man, that brings back fond memories. I have had many Remington Classics. The 25/06, 270 were my favorites. The prettiest was a 264 Winchester. It was throated to short so I sold it and had a reamer made right. I have a custom 264 now.
