My wife is always complaining that she has a hard time picking out gifts for me that I like. An Ingram Bullnose is one of the two main knives I use - the knife on the bottom below. It is about ten years old and no telling how many animals it has cleaned. She obviously noticed which knife I use most of the time and also noticed the two did not match. While we were on a trip recently for our 25th wedding anniversary, she pulled out a wrapped USPS small box. I opened it up and was absolutely shocked and surprised. She had contacted Gene, sent him photos, and asked him to make something special to match my Bullnose. Gene actually had a piece of micarta the Bullnose was cut from. He came up with a wonderful design that is different, but matches and compliments the Bullnose. Gene is a heck of a good man to go out of his way to help her do something special for a special occasion. Needless to say, this is my favorite and ready to see some use. Excellent! I have the same kind of wife, she and Gene have collaborated a couple times to surprise me with a new knife.

That is a great story. That’s what I’m talking about. I’m a sucker for Westinghouse micarta as well.
Next time she wants whatever appliance or whatever that doesn't make any sense, just get it for her.
