No schit. The friend I mentioned earlier that liked that song so much played it for me one night when we had been drinking.

Both of us trying to keep 100+ year operations together.

Jim and Sam;
Good afternoon to you both, my cyber friends from Montana.

If you ever get the chance to see Corb Lund, I do believe you'd enjoy the show.

He's from west of Taber, AB I believe and has an authenticity and grittiness to the songs that most of us with an agricultural background can recognize and appreciate.

My goodness Jim, when I decided to quit farming I was leaving land that my paternal grandfather had farmed, then my father and uncles afterward.

It still sorta bugs a part of me after all these years, though I know logically we're better off for having moved to BC more than 35 years back.

My rancher buddy has been on the same place for 73 years and none of his girls are going to take it over.... I only know one rancher in the valley who is younger than me and I'm nearly 57...

Yah, hay fever indeed Jim.....

All the best to you both this fall.

Dwayne

TFF..🤣

I've never lived in a subdivision nor worn skinny jeans. I have ridden horses. They suck. We now have the internal combustion engine which has made horses obsolete for most everything other than pulling up grass by the roots, chitting everywhere, stinking, and costing neverending sums of money.

last time i really messed with a horse i ended up with this foot.

Dwayne, my pickup broke down so the traveling 'shop' and fuel station is MIA.

Luckily we are putting up hay as close to town as possible. Had a low tire on one baler, needed about 100 gallons of fuel, one started acting up and wouldn't slice the wrap(so you need a couple wrenches to adjust the spool brake)...
Drove the tractors to town to fuel up, one yesterday morning and one today. Pretty much no traffic driving right down Main Street Wolf Point, MT.

Easy fix on the spring adjustment but no tool box.

Drive a guy crazy!

We did have a horse trailer and a four wheeler at the field though, lots of help there......grin
