Trying to put a LH 416 Ruger together. I have a LH 375 and was planning on buying a RH 416 and swapping barrels. Sell the now RH 375. Is this feasible? Open sights make it more of a challenge. How much should this cost to set both guns up correctly? Also thinking of just sending it to Ruger for a new barrel. Not sure if they would do it. Thanks

I've read many times Ruger will only duplicate the original barrel. And also read they will change calibers only if the original is no longer available.
But Ruger has changed a lot at in the past few years.

What action are you using to start? Bolt rifle--> 375 Ruger is the parent case to the 416 so it should work on the bolt face. The mags wells would be the issue I’d see, although you can open up the 375 to 416, I’ve never tried going back down to be honest. I’d imagine a much wider front of the well on the 416 and the 375 rounds will be in your lap when you rack the bolt hard

Rifles are Ruger M77 Hawkeye Stainless. I never thought the magwell would be an issue with the same case body; follower maybe.

Consider having your current barrel rebored to the 416.

That's certainly an option. Probably just as easy as swapping two barrels.

There are a few other dimensions to check like bolt to tenon (barrel) clearance, and then headspace...
Safe bet is to have a smith do the work.
