Any good folks here know how to access a list of property on sale for taxes?

I'll answer my own question. I just called the Ministry of Finance in Thunder Bay, in unorganized territories land is not sold for unpaid tax, it becomes Crown Land.
I asked why people pay tax. The lady said you lose the land, it does not go up for sale.

Just curious here.
What if there’s a mortgage? The lender won’t want to walk away so the province can take ownership.

Mauser, If there is a mortgage then it is up to the lender to foreclose, ,and sell. That's my take.

Richard—municipalities hold tax sales every year—but you have to ask each individual municipality for a list every year.

There is a ton of tax forfeited property for sale in the municipality of Greenstone—there’s a good reason it doesn’t sell.

There is a ton of tax forfeited property for sale in the municipality of Greenstone—there’s a good reason it doesn’t sell. Too remote? Access doesn't look very inviting.
