I read some of the comments and most are from women fed up with the BS.

I dumped Gillette products months ago, like many. They should have stuck to making razors.

Gillette is hardly the only company trashing their base. Nike, Levi’s, Dicks Sporting Goods, and many others are working harder for social justice, than they are for their stockholders

The article also correctly noted the message in the commercial that White men typically mistreat women, and that Black men often come to the rescue of women when they are being mistreated by White men. Also hilarious.

It's a "non-cash" write down. In other words, it's just an accounting adjustment to the value of assets acquired during a merger or acquisition.

This will result in Gillette being able to use the write off to offset future taxes, and increase their real cash flow.

Gillette is a brand name owned by P&G whose stock is at an all-time high.

The mantra is to maximize stock price for the shareholder i.e. screw the employees if it helps the shareholder. You can bet your ass that if the current ad campaign results in a decrease of the Gillette brand profits, there will be changes. Theses things do not happen overnight but over reporting quarters, over a year, possibly longer...

OTOH, with the S&P 500 Index also at an all-time high notched on July 26 going into August, would you buy P&G or sell it?

I think thats Awesome and Maybe I helped. I switched to Harry's shave club, I get the 5 blade razors 8 for $16.00. Thats 2.00 each and they last longer and are extremely sharp. If fact, Warning if you switch,I cut myself 3 times the first week, you gotta learn to go slower and only one pass

I get like 20 for $1 at the Dollar Tree.

They got them 1/4" ribeye minute steaks in the frozen case for a buck too.
