I’m looking at a Burris mtac 4.5-14x42 scope and was wondering how they compare to the full field 11 scopes. Was thinking it would be good on my 308 for deer and antelope out to 100-400 or so. Any body with experience with these scopes?

I bought one 3 -4 years ago, it is a decent scope. I bought it for much the same purpose as you mention but ended up putting it on an M1A that is a range toy. The scope started on a Savage 16 in 7mm/08 but was "top heavy" and did not balance the rifle as I liked. I think the scope is a better match on a varmint or lighter target gun than a sporter but that is my opinion.

Yes it has the adjustable objective on the bell of the scope. 30 mm tube The price is a large reason I’m interested in it. On sale for $299

Discontinued model, but seems like a good deal.

I purchased two of these scopes on sale a couple years ago. They are good scopes with adequate glass for the price.

I bought one on sale for $249 at Cabela's online about 3 years ago, tried it for antelope, took it off and sold it for $250 through Ebay. The glass was clear, bright and color free. No complaints. I didnt like the size, weight, and goofy reticle. Too complicated for a hunting scope for my taste. Replaced it with a new Leupy 3.5 x 10 with the old duplex reticle. Half a pound lighter and easier to use. JMHO.
