I plan on stopping to fish Lake Mead outside Vegas next month for a day or two. Anyone have tips for this specific lake or a guide they recommend?

I'm not much of a fisherman but have spent a fair amount of time on Lake Mud. You will need a boat, a guide would provide that as well as know where to go. Weekends are a zoo w/ 100k of california's finest infesting the beaches. If you have the time go to Temple Bar, it is a different experience but remember that the temps are often 10 degree hotter than in town and trees are scarce  . If forcast winds are>20 mph only windsurfing is fun. mike r

I was there last month but not to fish. The lake is down a lot!!! You definitely need a boat. No idea about guides.

Watched a tv show on bass fishing Lake Mead.
They were slaying the 1 pounders casting towards the bank.
