Last Daughter in college and her friends are into Hamms.

It is Minnesota and all.

Ipa's for me. Doubles usually have the right mix of hops and not to malty. You guys near California do yourself a favor and try yourself some Alpine Beer Company beer, excellent Ipa's

I drink IPAs and Porters mostly, but this is good, too.

I drink 'em all. I could not drink beer for 3 or 4 years for some reason- halfway through a beer I'd get a headache, stomach ache, and start puking until my stomach was empty. That phase has passed. I didn't drink beer for so long I forgot what kind I like. It's like discovering beer all over again!

I like IPAs OK but I like dark IPAs the most. Pilsners, Hefeweizens, and lagers in the warmer months. Stouts, Porters, and heavier beers in the cold months. I like Scotch Ale any time.

I love Porters. Pick-Ax Porter from Silver Gulch Brewing in Fairbanks is my favorite.

A microbrewery that I'm very fond of is the Tahquamenon Brewery next to the falls of the same name. Beautiful location near Paradise, Michigan. They have a stout called Black Bear Stout. It tastes like Guinness without the bitter aftertaste. Nothing better than taking a long hike and stopping in for one or two along with their great whitefish dinners. Now you're making me hungry...and thirsty!

Alaska Amber, Left Hand Brewing Nitro Stout, Sweet Baby Jesus, Southern Tier 2XMAS. Anything except IPAs.

This time of year it's been Miller Lite, Stella, Dos Equis.

Easy drinking beer.

True that. If you're in the San Diego area, take the ride out to Alpine for some good beer. I've never seen it outside the SD area though. Probably gets distributed in just the SoCal area?

Sam! I just discovered "craft breweries".

I am apparently the last person to do so.

Come through and I will buy you a wheat beer.

Fresno Wheat is a good one.

I decided to expand my horizons a couple months ago. 12 - 15 different, new to me beers plus a few hours each in a couple of craft brew houses. Some a treat, others never again, wasted time, or a peasant journey? This, along with a fetish for some brews I had acquired a taste for a couple months prior had me driving all over my small town looking for weird brands. It didn't happen. Off to the city for my new favorites. More money & sketchy availability had me realizing that for me it just wasn't worth it.
Now, if I slowdown this winter, Modello Negra or a likewise heavier beer might be worth the search. Otherwise, my little brother got me again with his wisdom; "you know Bud Light, you can find it anywhere there is beer. You know how many you can drink, how much it cost, & how you will feel the next day."
Yes........... he got me. A light is refreshing, it will get you there, sooner or later, & I can get it....................... anywhere.
Pressing the easy button for the time being..
