I have a Sako 300 WM 1985 Fiberclass 95% and a Steyr Pro Hunter Black on Blue .308.

The 300 was sold and buyer backed out. I am now trying to decide which to sell and which to keep.

My other rifle is a .280 so I am not worried about a rifle to shoot, I just like the 308 projectile for the hogs we have, I am talking up to 400#.

What would you do, the Steyr is dead nuts on and the 300 ,I haven't shot but I had 1 in 30-06 that was a shooter, so I am sure this one will also. I can load the 300 to 308, 30-06 or 300, more , same recoil, I don't know.

I'd trip the 300.

I will never have a .270, I have not been a fan since Gunsmithing school , everyone was building one for himself. I built 2 .35 Whelan in 1975 before they were a factory offering.

Keep all of them, I don’t see how a person can have less than 30 rifles

I had a Fiberclass in 30-06 and got rid of it 30 years ago and still regret it .

I think that I would keep them both. The mistake would be lumping them together because they are the same caliber. I would look at different weight projectiles and distance for the 300. It looks like recoil doesn't bother you.
