I have a buddy that has a 20mm rail on a Remington 700. He’s going to put a Vortex Viper on it with a 50mm objective. Anybody have a good guess what ring height he will need to order for this set up?

I had a Nightforce SHV F1 which also has a 50mm objective, mounted in Seekins Lows and had adequate clearance. It wasn’t much, but it was enough.

I usually use the Seekins mediums for a 50mm objective to give a little scope cap room...

I have a 20moa base on my savage that has a no taper barrel and used the low rings with my IOR 50mm obj. I use the lows also with my SWFA 50mm obj on a Rem 700 varmint contour. There’s enough room for caps on the 700.

Lows should work just fine.
