Me and the boy have been slaying the blue catfish for the last 3 months or so. Love fried fish and they are very good. I’ve long been a fan of Louisiana brand seasoned fish fry in the blue package, the orange bag sucks and is a waste of money BTW. But recently I had a life changing fish frying event.
My cousin is married to a guy from Louisiana and he suggested that I cut my filets up and soak them for a half hour before dredging them in the blue bag fish fry mix. The soaking takes place in equal parts cheap yellow mustard and cheap Louisiana hot sauce. Holy Cow! Best fried fish I’ve ever had anywhere, don’t think I can ever go back to the way things were.
If you like fried fish give it a whirl, it’s excellent I promise.
