I posted this in the Hunting Rifles forum also and thought here might be a more appropriate place...
After reading several posts/articles I decided to try the Lee collet neck sizer dies in .300wm and .257 Roberts. After getting the dies one thing was immediately evident. The collet itself in both dies could not be removed from the die body without using a wooden dowel and considerable force. After getting the die "innards" removed I gave them a thorough cleaning. The dies would not go back together without forcing the collet into the die body which then again could not be removed without using a dowel. Any videos I have watched shows the die parts coming apart and going back together with no problem...just drop right in.
So my question to the campfire crowd who have used these dies is ...is there a procedure to "loosen" the collet, which is the sticking part, or just return dies for a refund?
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

I've had some that started out pretty tight. They've sized brass just fine.
