Anyone have one of the Savage A17s ? I know the early ones had some problems but those seem fixed now . Local Walmarts have some marked down to $180 couple and thought about picking one up.

My nephew has one. He speaks highly of it. IIRC his prefers the A17 ammo.

I have only put about 300 rounds thru mine and have had absolutely no problems. I have used A-17 ammo and CCI Ammo. Very very accurate....I am impressed. I have never been much on savages...had to take back y words on this one. Very sweet rifle.
