WTF? You taught a fish to swim by and smile for the camera? Is this going to be a second career photographing tourists posing with troutie? And how did you ever make friends with a fish???

Nice photos, I'm envious.

Retirement really IS great ! I got a 3 year head start on you and I'm loving every minute of it. Recently finished setting up some blinds for deer season later this fall. Just now finished up loading some .308 rounds. Thursday morning me and 5 buddies will be several miles out on Lake Ontario on a fishing charter on a 34 ft. Trojan. Got so many other things going this week that I won't even be able to go to the rifle range. Fishing - Hunting - Shooting........ This is the kind of busy life I waited a lot of years for. And I put it off until age 66. Perhaps I shoulda started sooner. Enjoy it while you can..... You earned it.

Glad you are out enjoying it! Unfortunately the U.S Government does not have the best retirement plan for us folks in the Army or other branches. I will get 55% of my base pay when I retire. Works out to $2500 a month before taxes. Granted it goes up every year, problem if you just want to live off that you have to move to Mississippi or Alabama to survive. So after I retire, will have to get me another job.. I have friends that retired under the states tier1 retirement system in Alaska and they are making more money now than they did when they worked.

I retired on August 31st 2004 at the ripe old age of 55 with my 401K and a full 80 point pension and health insurance, etc. The company I worked for also paid me 3 years of salary and benefits to stay home at that age, and I haven't looked back. I finally had to start taking from my 401K this year due to the 70 & 1/2 rule so I double dipped and started taking social security also.

I'm now 70, almost 71. I and my wife both have our health and life is good. Playing is fun and so far I haven't gotten tired of doing it

It's official. I missed the selfie deadline so I'm Maser's sock puppet because rene and the Polish half of the fubar twins have decided that I am.

You can't live in that double wide with 30K per year?

Exactly the reason for the question. Easy living there in north Anchorage.

You confused my answer, Iā€™m not willing to move to soldotna to live in a trailer park and be your neighbor. I seen footage of you and your assistant park supervisor.

Damn you and Randy are out of control
