So, I have my Z5 mounted to my Win 70. And I have a level on top of the elevation turret and the bubble is in the middle. I have another level inside the action, and the bubble is in the middle. I have a third level at the end of the barrel, and the bubble is in the middle.
Now, this barrel is fluted. And when I add a fourth level to the "flat" portion of the top of the barrel that is fluted, the bubble is NOT level. My obvious assumption is that when the factory screwed the fluted barrel into the chamber, they obviously did not care if the "top flute" was exactly level, and so this is why this one level is off. Is my assumption correct?
The scope appears to be level with the rifle, don't you think? I have confirmed all 4 levels are accurate when compared to each other on a level, flat surface.
