Either will work, but I settled on H322 over 20yrs ago, in a 35 Whelen Ackley Improved. The Original Barnes Reloading Manual listed 58gr H322/200X. I used it in the AI for 2970fps. I think they dropped it down some later to around 55-56gr? Either way, use a BR2 Primer and have a ball!

Never got any of the newer versions but mine liked the X bullet with a charge of IMR-3031.
It is good to 300 yards for a deer sized target.

My Ruger SS Hawkeye likes the 180 Barnes TTSX in Vor-Tex factory ammo. A bud pushes his Remington CDL to 2900 fps using the 200 grain TTSX and H4350.

I used the 200X over 58gr H322 ( Ackley version) for a Black wildebeest in South Africa at a lasered 347yds! I was zeroed +2 at 100 and I just held on top of his back. BTW, that "58gr H322" load was for a 'standard Whelen Max" in Barnes' very first loading manual!
