No experience with the M70, but Talley lows work for SWFA 42mms for me on other rigs. Plenty of bolt and barrel clearance.

Ejected case hitting the windage turret is something to look for before heading afield. Seen more than once on other rigs, ejected shell do a 180 and land right back in the port, a no bueno affair.

Thanks MtnBoomer. Right now I have the scope mounted in Warne rings and no issues. I have made your windage modification. Same black rubber leg cap and all. I don't need that big windage knob either.

Just used lows on my FWT with a 3-15x42. BTW I emailed Talley and told them that these kind of questions constantly come up and it would be really helpful if they published the dimensions of their lightweight rings so we could figure this stuff out. There response was "The lows ought to work".
