Everyone seems to like the 143/147, 150, and 156 bullet options, but why not more love for the 139 scenar? I understand BC not as high (my tests have lead me to run around .570 for drop data at creed velocities)
I know Pat killed a truckload of animals with this combo last year. This is such a good killing bullet in my creeds - seems like it would be even mo better at 3000-3100.
I may have, possibly, without the wife knowing, picked up a 6.5prc with a 24 inch barrel. 139 scenars and H1000 will be getting played with this weekend...

Curious what you think. I plan to stay in the 130-140gr with my PRC. I just received some scenars and I have H1000 and RL23 to try. Still breaking in the barrel, with only 100 rounds or so, down range.
I had the RL23 out, so just loaded a few to try. Hope to be in the 3000-3050fps range.

2945 over H4350 in an 18” suppressed Bart 2B today....
Killed lots of schit with them out of the 6.5 SAUMs and can’t imagine they’ll disappoint.

I've been loading the 130 Accubond and the 130 Sirocco in my PRC. 58.0-58.5 grains and either the CCI BR-2 or the Remi 9-1/2 have given me .ess thn .5 MOA and running at 3100 FPS out of my Mesa.
I don't have any experience with the Scenars. Aren't they a hollow point and for long range target shooting? It seems to me they would tend to fragment at those speeds.
The lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part!

Empirical evidence trumps any and all internet assumptions....
There is at least 20 threads on the Fire alone about the Scenars on game.

Planning to see how the 220 Scenars work on elk and deer pretty shortly. The 300 pushes them around 3015 and man are they accurate.
Looking forward to seeing how they work for you in the new PRC Hiaring.

Scenars work on game just as well as Berger’s do! They destroy vitals and kill game DRT. Real world experiences with both has led me to this conclusion.

I've got that exact rifle with load needing fine tuning only....
130 VLDs and H4831 though. The rifle shoots...

The Havak is such a nice setup for a mid-weight distance rifle.

Very nice! Taking my scenars west next month also, at same velocity as yours. Reckon they’ll do just dandy!

I never used the Lapua has but I use the 143 ELD X and they all shoot about half an inch at 3100 feet per second with reloader 26. I will use them for Antelope this year and if not satisfied then maybe switch to something else
