Outstanding. I've had a 2.5" 66 no dash for quite awhile now, bought it at a long-out-of-business gun store for the handsome price of $250 back in the mid-2000s. Here it is with it's 3" younger brother:

Very nice. They aren't making any more of them, so they are as good as gold. You can't lose money on them.

I've got one, too. Great IWB concealed carry gun, if you're okay with six rounds on tap.

Since I won't pay to keep my account at Photobucket, they seem to have limited me to only accessing my pictures there in this thumbnail size. SOBs. mad

Thanks, chl. So do I! Particularly, the 66's. I've got 3 of them now,. This no "-", a -1, a -2, plus a 4-inch.

Oregon45, those are 2 beauties, right there.

Thanks, Bob.

I paid substantially less for this one.

Obviously not from Gunbroker.

These short barrels are great. I especially like the 3” barrels. Have several of those. May put a model 65 3” up for sale and look for the 66 like yours.

S&W reintroduced them a couple of years ago. The same time that they came out with the M69 44mag L-frame.
They come in 2.75" and 4.25" versions. They have a matte finish with the ejector rod and cylinder release in black. It looks nice.

Bet the new ones have the dumbass lock hole above the cylinder release............No thanks. I’ll take the older models.

That’s not what I meant. They can use the same model number, but it’s not the same gun. They will never again make the real 66 again.

That is a beauty, hard to go wrong with an old pinned barrel 66.
