No offense intended but...lots of extrinsic info here. Does it all boil down to somebody changing out the bolt, essentially stealing the original one? Or was there also damage? I know you're pissed about several secondary things, but it kinda sounds like you wouldn't be posting if the bolt hadn't been changed out? If you're doing a callout thread to the company, best to be succinct and you will have the greatest opportunity of having your problem(s) addressed.
The bottom line is, unless stated otherwise, on something that is shipped, you should have an inspection/return period. I would tell the top dogs I want my money back-ALL of it, not some bs restocking fees OR they come up with the bolt-if that is satisfactory to you.

I'm not sure that just coming up with the bolt would be satisfactory to me. You've went through and put up with some bs from them. Even if you're satisfied just to get the bolt, they should make it right by heavily discounting the rifle.

"..When the,box opened the rifle slid out With zero protection,I was pissed, then out slid the action with a replacement bolt.."
Not sure what this means. the action was separated from the rifle? I get that they bait/switched the bolt. Money back will be your choice there, I am sure that bolt you wanted will be rat-holed somewhere.

A few points... First, like others, I'm having trouble following the OP's story. My friend sorta had the same problem. He bought a Sauer 200 out of Minnesota and when it was received at the Dundee store, it hadn't been shipped with any padding and was mangled. But I find it hard to believe that Cabelas had a spare bolt for that gun just laying around.

My guess is it was shipped with the bolt removed. Whoever was packing it may have packed your box with the bolt from another gun. Someone out there may have your bolt. As it is a different bolt someone needs to verify the headspacing, function, safety, etc. Just because the bolt goes in does not mean it is a functional rifle. Sad day when those working in a store shipping guns have no clue as to how to pack them.

Need to try again on your thread title. Un-comprehensible.

Bad night guys. Tired and mad, throw in some Jack and out came confusion! Bottom line really disappointing. Noted. That combination can do that. It still seems as if you have a legitimate complaint. Plus, in addition to the possible dishonesty issue, there may be a lesson here for those who are expecting Cabela's to ship guns carefully. Perhaps it depends on which Cabela's does the shipping. I don't know if they used to be better about packing/shipping, but it seems that in several ways Cabela's isn't the store it was before Bass Pro Shops bought them out. Hopefully it was a mix up and they can somehow get the correct bolt found and in your hands.
