These edge ads are so annoying! They pop up on every page. How do you turn them off? Under Safari, on my iPhone, I have the pop-up blocker turned on, yet these buggers are persistent!

I'd say it should be a sticky, but I think Ric might be concerned it would go against his business model.

Will this add-on change or modify anything else?

Ublock won’t work on ios (iPhone). Until recently I was able to avoid the edge add by browsing on firefox. Something changed in the last couple of weeks and now that pervasive crap is on firefox too!

I constantly hear people griping about pop-ups, using phones for internet. Easy answer, Don't do that!!! Use Windows, Mac or Chrome, NO MORE ADS, with the right blockers.

[quote=Steve]Ublock origin. Firefox addonChrome[/q I don’t even know what that means. I am a tech idiot. Are you saying I should be using Firefox or chrome instead of Safari? Not even sure I know how to do that as my iPhone has Safari already installed.

Better let the 5G folks know everyone is going back to desktops, and the use of phones for web browsing has been a failed experiment ...

Good luck.
Hopefully someone with the current iPhone solution can walk you through it. Typically, there's very specific browser with very specific blocking software that will work. Android here with zero issues.

Certainly does more.

Might as well cut our own balls off and buy a hummingbird feeder. I haven't laid hands on a real computer in 3 years. Most of my posting is done on the fly while on a tractor, laying under a truck, on a ladder, while grilling, while hunting, at traffic stops, drive thru's, pumping gas. lol I rarely complain about pop-ups or ads. I don't even seem to get them apparently as bad as others. Then again, I don't browse granny porn.

I'm not an iPhone guy, so I can't help you there.

OK, so I figured out how to download Chrome and made sure it’s ad blocker was on. But no difference, still the same edge pop-ups. From what I read from others here, it’s just something we have to deal with.
This site is great for its traffic and breadth of info, but sure is hard to navigate compared to many other forums out there. The pop ups, the difficulty posting pics, and the cumbersome search feature. I shouldn’t complain since it’s free, but it sure could use an update!

You just don't have the right setup yet. It's a pain but there's thousands of us not experiencing the problems you are. Hopefully someone will be able to help.

I don't know if it's available for iphones but for android anyway Adblock has their own browser. I've been using it for a few days and nothing has got by it so far. Search google play for 'adblock browser'.
edited to add: It's available on iphones. Search on apple app store for it.
