The serial number is to high for a Savage Premier, it's got to be a Mossberg, also the Savage made Premiers were Model 25's not 29's. Be careful what you shoot in it, these can be damaged by the use of modern 22 ammunition since most is Hi-Speed, use standard velocity or lighter. rimfirecentral.com/forums/1171035 The Mossberg Premiers used the Meriden Model 15 design, Mossberg supposedly got the rights to the design directly from Arthur W. Savage after Meriden went out of business. The original patents were in the names of his son's Basil & Arthur J. but he was most likely the designer, he's even given credit for that in a Mossberg ad (a copy posted in the link above).
