Some of you guys have better self control than me. If I had always used the logic of "nope, I've already got it covered by "X", "Y" and "Z"" or "it's trying to be "X", "Y" or "Z". I would have gone through my life only owning a .22, 243 and 30-06. Heck, come to think of it, I probably would have gone through my whole life with more money and no change in results had I done so.

My .260Rem suits me just fine

For hunting Desert critters my 25-06 has met the test of time at the range and on numerous hunts. Just bought more Nosler brass for it. We will in the Sonoran Desert Mountains together again this fall and winter!

Had one in a Kimber Hunter, nice rifle but I'm a wood stock guy so when I saw this one, well...............

I have a couple 6.5cm, but still like 308 better

Traded a Glock 23 for a Tikka creed 6.5 and my friend wanted it so he gave me his new Tikka stainless in 30-06. No need for the 6.5 I have a 243 and 264 Winchester.

My creed is a Swede!

Had a creed built on a Kimber Montana before Kimber introduced them. Traded for a 708 Ti and haven’t looked back!

Don’t have one now, and zero plans for ever getting one

Bought my second one a few weeks ago. First was a Tikka T3x Lite and this one is a T3x Varmint, which btw seems like it absolutely cannot shoot a bad group. Out of 17 groups tried so far the worst one was four shots into .811", and that was due to a very wide flyer. The other three shots went into the .3's. Most all other four and five shot groups range from the mid .2's to maybe a max of the high .5's or low .6's.

My main hobby is handloading and I'm really liking the Creed for all of the reasons it was created. It throws very high BC bullets at useful velocities with low recoil, hits the lands with all useful bullet weights while still fitting in the magazine and definitely seems to have that elusive "inherent accuracy" that gets bandied about so much - although I'm sure those Tikkas don't hurt a bit, either.

That T3x Lite is seriously putting a dent on range time formerly spent with ought sixes, 270's, a .243 AI and a few others.

Hype or not, need it or not, it sure is a well behaved little son of a gun to work with.

Why would that be? (Any honest answer is great, I'm not looking to criticize. I still feed a herd of 308's myself, even though I want to get into the Creedmoor game.)

The Creed won't kill a deer any deader than the .270 I've been using for decades. It seems silly to me to buy one, for that reason.

About 5 years ago I re-barreled a Remington 660 I had laying around to 260 Remington with a 1 in 8 twist. Just now getting time to dial it in. In a hunting rifle the Creedmoor won't do anything the 260 won't do.

I finally got a 6.5 Creed in a Kimber Hunter. I wanted a Montana in .260 but they weren't very accurate so I waited. Glad I did.

It is accurate, light weight and ammo is inexpensive. Pretty much a modern version of my 6.5 x 55 Swede carbine

Like the old country song, I was 6.5 before 6.5 was cool.

Been using a 260Rem in one rifle or another since they first came out.

Have tried most of the 6.5 flavors, but have stuck with my first love the 260 Rem.

"Won't do anything that..."

Just a thought. If we're limiting the criteria to killing moderate sized animals, anything from a .22 Short through a .460 Weatherby Magnum and beyond won't do anything that an arrow created in the dawn of prehistory won't do. And that arrow won't do anything that a fairly straight tree limb with a fire hardened sharp end won't do. They will all poke a hole in an animal's vitals. If you only want to talk about firearms, none of the above will do anything that a lead ball from an arquebus of the 15th century won't do, and that won't really do anything that a gonne from the 12th century won't do. Again, they will all poke a hole in an animal's vitals. They all kill stuff.


Now, if you want to talk about the refinements of distance, accuracy and a whole plethora of more esoteric hair splitting criteria...

I bought one for my wife. I figured it would be better for elk than a 243 win.

No desire for one.
6.5x55 SE puts 4 (saved the last one to duplicate when reloading) into a .33 group.
264 WM for when I want some speed
256 Newton because it was cool before the Creed was a gleam in it's Daddy's eye

I bought a 30/06 back in 1971. It's still killing critters. No reason to reinvent the wheel.

That’s what I’m taking opening weekend, then break out some 99’s for the rest of the year.

Had one, sold. Have 6.5 PRC, which is the power level I wanted in the first place...it was just not available then.
