Splat.....Pop....

My milk habit can't keep up with my shooting addiction, so I've had to add new target opportunities to the mix:

You can't see all the targets in the pic, but there's a few milk jugs spread up the lane, and the balloons are scattered all across the field from 250 to almost 700:

I bought 48" fiberglass electric fence posts, and cut them in 12" lengths. Then bought a bag of 12" white balloons from Wally World, blew them up, slid the end over the top of the post, & clipped on a clothes pin to hold.

Worked fine, except the posts were hard too find after shooting the balloons off, so I painted them with Krylon in fluorescent glowing lemon yellow. Worked a little better finding them, but added the pink surveyor's tape the next time out. Might cut the posts to 18" next time, which will get the tape off the grass more, & be able to use as a wind flag.

Did the normal three position shoot, prone off a bipod, sitting off the tripod, and back to the bipod off the top of the 4 wheeler box.

Forgot to get a prone shot:

I've got some, in fact I stash some of my target stands out there so I don't have to haul them back & forth.

I actually prefer to use the jugs & balloons, as I feel it mimics a hunting situation better. I range & dial for every shot, back & forth & all around.

Put a little flour in the balloons before you blow them up and they "Poof" when you hit them.

I have a Crazy Creek Chair but need a gizmo for the tripod rest, what are you using? I would ask Don but his stuff requires making it myself.
