Denver had busing when I was a kid. The parochial school I went to had attendance skyrocket overnight.

Parents move to good neighborhoods with good schools on purpose.

Liberals are OK with forced busing as long as they are not involved! Bastids!

Johnson tracked black children who attended integrated schools in the 1960s through the 1980s, and found they had higher earnings when they grew up, were healthier and were less likely to be incarcerated than those who remained in segregated schools.
Students who attend integrated schools are also more likely to carry that experience with them into their adult lives, picking integrated neighborhoods to live in, researchers say.”


So the more time black kids spend among white kids, the better they do?

We had busing in jr high, they brought blacks to us.

Boston busing war.

Stupid to take kids out of their community. Put the money into the schools and neighborhoods. Boarding schools within the community would be a better idea.

The River Hill High School is in a very high income area......a bedroom community to Baltimore County. No doubt they are pissed living in a high income area with excellent schools.

There’s a reason the highest priced real estate is around the best schools.

There were lots of fights when the busing started!

Howard county will roll over for now. They're liberal chickens and the "it's ok for the other guys but not for us" have come home to roost.

One of the most strident critics will be the Korean immigrant community that takes education very seriously and settled in Howard co because the schools are very good. On the good side, that's a way to get them to quickly vote republican after their liberal lawmakers screwed them.

George Wallace suggested buying a used school bus to pick up the supreme court justices , and sell the limousines.

Been a Lefty Paradise since they built Columbia. Lived there for a bit.
