Lowest as in height above receiver, not cost. I have a Burris Fastfire III on it now which works fine other than being too high to get a really good cheek weld. The adapter to fit the Ruger base is at least 1/4" thick. Thanks in advance!

Seems there was maybe Arredondo? That was making some low to bore custom mounts for the mini reflexes, that went on shotgun rails and in rear sight dovetails. Might look into that, or give them a call for ideas.

Good question! I'm curious also, though I quit looking.

I got rid of my first red dot reflex sight because it was so high I could barely touch my chin to the Savage .22 stock. I added a 1 1/2 inch riser which still wasn't enough and had to be removed to get the bolt out, but I hunted with it that way for one season. I recently put a Bushnell TR26 on my shotgun, a tube type red dot rather than reflex. It is lower but still higher than I prefer. I suppose the money is in the market for tacticool high mount AR stuff, but I wish that someone would build a red dot with the lowest part of the sight at the bottom below all batteries etc. and with minimal height to the attachment mechanism. Maybe they have and someone will post it here.

I may also try the barrel mounted Skinner peep sight and a new fiber optic front sight if I can't lower the reflex sight. I'm one of those slow-reflex guys and it seems like the red dots are quickest to get on target. The deer that I hunt move more than they stand around, so I need all the speed shortcuts I can find. wink

There is Weigand, but I doubt its lower than the Burris mount you already have.

You could mill out a flat on a Weaver/Picatinny adapter and drill and tap in order to attach the Burris FF directly to the rail. I can't imagine anything lower than that.

Look at an EGW mount or call SumToy Customs, both are being used extensively on Vortex or FF3s mounted on shotguns for turkey hunting. William at SumToy is an shotgun man but pretty sure he would machine and drill and tap a rifle if asked.

Good for you. Now that I rethink, I actually did get to talk to them.....just took a while. Was gonna do a pretty much full custom turkey gun, and also wanted one of his mounts. IIRC, he told me to “just buy a saddle mount.” I’ve got other top notch machinists and choke guys I can get with, so it’s not the end of the world, I guess.
