Good question. There is no rational explanation for Trump supporters. He is so obviously a very stupid, immoral lying carney barker that supporting him defies rationality. Some possible reasons are just plain stupidity, or racism, or fear, or Rush, or Fox, etc. None of those reasons reflect positively on said supporters. I think one or more or the reasons above explain the majority of members here. Personally, I think the right wing media is largely responsible for Trump. Their constant stream of lies, conspiracy theories and fear mongering is very influential among those of limited common sense and below average intelligence.
