Don Larson used this ball in his historic only World Series perfect game. My dad got this ball for me after the game, 1956 WS game five, where he was a guest of a Hall of Fame'er. My dad's partner also got one. The ball was signed by the Yankees. Yogi Berra and Mickey Mantel are on the sweet spot. Larson is on the one in the first photo.

I was late for school that day, I was at my grandmother's house watching the game on her TV over noon.
My father was emphatic the last pitch was ball four, low. and outside.
History now.

History now. Pitches were and still are what the ump calls.

I was there. At age 7..Mom was a big Yankees fan and someone got her a couple of tickets. OF course I had no idea what was going....I don't think we bought a program or anything...long time ago.

Holy crap B. That's totally cool.
Are you sure you're that old? Damn! You don't seem it to me.
Very envious kudos. My only major league prize is a foul ball from my first major league game in 1972 Oakland vs the Red Socks and I caught a foul ball in I believe the 14th inning.
That ball got used in a game of catch or not in the field behind the Holiday Inn next to the stadium the next day.
Awesome keepsake I've still got mine-looks nothing like yours. Thanks for sharing. Very cool especially this time of year.
Many thanks, please give the pups an extra pat for me.

Do you remember much of anything? At 7 things like hot dogs and Cracker Jacks probably were more important than anything on the field.

Standing there eating a hot dog....just standing there.....Mom told me about the historic stuff later but at 7 it just bounced off. Another sports oddity...I have a signed post card from Joe Lewis NYC restaurant....signed by him of course. Just sitting in a drawer....no idea if it is worth anything to anyone. I do remember shaking his hand and of course, how much larger than mine it was.
