Uganda must feel strongly about this if they're willing to risk a boycott of their entire celebrity ecotourism industry. Why the hell would any sane person want to go to Uganda in the first place? A couple decades ago, a plane load of Israelis went there for a short vacation. They liked it so well that Israel had to send in the troops to get them home again.

Reminds me of the old joke about the threes guys caught by the aboriginal tribe. The tribal chief gave them two choices. Death, or bunga bunga.
The first two guys didn't want to die and chose bunga bunga. The entire tribe took their turn on the hapless fellers, but the third guy said no way, I ain't going through what them two fellers went through, give me death!

Uganda must feel strongly about this if they're willing to risk a boycott of their entire celebrity ecotourism industry. Why the hell would any sane person want to go to Uganda in the first place? A couple decades ago, a plane load of Israelis went there for a short vacation. They liked it so well that Israel had to send in the troops to get them home again. I remember that, IIRC some USAF C-130's got in on that act, along with some others .

Maybe. There's a bill in their congress to do just that and it has a good chance of passing. Needless to say, the world's queers, like Elton John, are vehemently opposed. It's only fair to say that 33 other African countries already have death penalties for homos. DEATH TO HOMOSCool...they should all rally in Uganda and hold a street protest.
