Need a new one.
Tri or BI-fold?

I'm practical, and frugal, but I want it to last.
Current one was elkskin, maybe. Lasted about 15 years.

I don't need a fancy skin. $50 or less is good. Won't consider much more.

Also, no money clip, metro type thing.
Must hold cash, my main use, and some cards.
It will live in my left rear pocket.

Ideas. Or am I too far in the past?

I use a trifold but it resides in my front pocket. I can't sit on a wallet anymore.

I had trifold forever, leather
Fossil brand, lasted about 18 yrs.

Dunno how long my replacement will last.
Is a bifold and much thinner. Super comfy.
Made out of bicycle innertube.

I'll buy another as backup. Just in case.

I bought a Fossil bi-fold with a flip out license holder about 8 years ago. Fairly heavy, slick leather. Held up better than any wallet I've ever had. Still looks good.

Picked this doodad up at the iCast show in July. Haven’t carried a wallet since.

$100 bill, driver’s license, business card, personal card.

Now instead of wallet/phone/keys it’s phone/keys when I leave the house.

I've been buying these wallets for several years now. I prefer wallets with a the zipper closure but the same brand offers several other styles both with and without the zipper. I've been averaging about 5 years before the zipper starts failing (mostly my fault from accumulating too much crap) even though the rest of the wallet is still in pretty good shape.

Seems every birthday the kids gave me a wallet for my birthday. Put them in my sock drawer 'til needed. Kids are middle aged now and their last wallet is in my pocket now. Not having bought myself a wallet since high school, I've got no idea where to go to buy a wallet. Maybe should mention to them I got a birthday coming up.

Hanks Belts makes some nice ones. A bit pricey but they'll last a long time.

For durability - manta ray going on 20+ years.

Link is just an example, as there are several sources:

Had an elephant hide unit that went about 15 years but it was stolen. All my cards etc were recovered, but the damned thief kept the wallet.

Had a Rolf's that lasted over 20 years. When I replaced it I bought a Spec-Ops Gear T.H.E. Wallet JR.

I got tired of thin leather wearing through. Bit the bullet and bought a Saddleback Leather Co wallet a few years ago. It’s quality at a price. Mine is a medium bifold for $79. Several other styles.

Just like their belts. They are guaranteed 100 years. When my wife bought me one for my birthday, I said she should join the local optimist club. Hasbeen

Their belts are actually pretty cheap for what you get.
