ROT on the 7mm Remington magnum? They list it as 1 in 9.5 which is to bad I wish it was 1 in 8 it might be worth a call to check they list the 6.5 cm as 1 in 8.66 and they are a really 1 in 8 .

Your post prompted me to call Blaser USA in San Antonio, the importer of the Sauer 100. I was told that it is in fact a 1-8" twist, not 1-8.66". I have a Sauer 100 in 6.5 and always thought it was 1-8.66" as listed on their site, so I haven't bothered loading up any really heavy bullets like the Hornady 160 RN. Also, they confirmed it is a threaded barrel, unlike the 101, which is press fit.

Have you used one? I have an interest in getting one of these. The comb of the stock looks quite low from pictures I have seen, is that an issue? How is the trigger mech, magazine, scope mounting system etc please
The comb is as high as anyone’s. It’s just that the top of the butt pad is higher than the comb (negative comb) which aids in a straight recoil line. Trigger and mag is good. Trigger is Tikka level, the magazines work correctly. Scope mounts are Remington 700 standard. That’s really my only “gripe”- I would prefer an integrated rail like the T3’s. Stock is stiff and designed well. They’re good guns and the ones I have seen shoot very well.

FYI, for anyone curious, I was told by Blaser customer service that the rate of twist on the 7mm-08 is 9.5. (I saw it listed as 1-in-9.5, 1-in-10, and even 1-in-11 on various web sites selling the rifles, so I wanted to be sure.)

The base mounting is set up for Remington 700 LA I believe, the stock while uniquely different in profile feels very rigid, stout yet light, fills my hand well. The trigger is phenomenal on mine for a factory make and adjusts easily as any trigger I've used. Both my mags cycle quickly and so far flawlessly.....its as good a $750 -$900 rifle I ever paid $490 to have delivered to a lgs.
